H-KNOW is a European research project in the area of old building restoration and maintenance, particularly in the cultural heritage domain. It is funded by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission with the main objective of creating an ICT solution, to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) operating in the field of construction.

In practical terms, this solution should offer SMEs possibilities to access specific knowledge by means of a collaborative online community. In this community, SMEs can share knowledge about restoration and maintenance activities, which induces learning and training of partners and collaboration amongst partners.
